This document supports internal approval for the CompleteRx leadership development pilot - covering the cost of building capability in-house, the evaluation criteria for any external partner, and a summary comparison against the pilot investment.
Building the capability required to deliver this pilot in-house would require specialist roles, tools, and time that most HR functions at a 100-150 person organisation do not have available. The table below estimates the internal cost of replicating the core components of the pilot.
| Capability | Roles Required | Skills Needed | Estimated Annual Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Behavioural Assessment Platform | I/O Psychologist or Assessment Specialist | Psychometric design, validation, reporting | $85,000-$120,000 |
| People Analytics Dashboard | HR Data Analyst | Data visualisation, HR metrics, dashboard build | $70,000-$95,000 |
| Executive Coaching | Senior External Coach (per leader) | Executive coaching, leadership development | $8,000-$15,000 per leader |
| Development Roadmap Design | L&D Specialist or OD Consultant | Competency frameworks, development planning | $60,000-$80,000 |
| Programme Management | HR Project Manager | Stakeholder management, programme delivery | $55,000-$75,000 |
| Total Estimated In-House Cost | 5+ specialist roles or external engagements | $270,000-$385,000+ | |
Note: In-house costs are estimated ranges based on US market rates for specialist HR and L&D roles. Actual costs will vary. The Peopletree pilot delivers the same core outcomes for $5,195 - without requiring any internal headcount addition.
When evaluating any external partner for a leadership development engagement, the following questions help distinguish between providers who offer genuine capability and those who offer generic content delivery.
TalentPrint Plus is built on the Talent Genome framework - a published, peer-reviewed competency model with a track record across multiple sectors and geographies. It is not a proprietary black box.
The Peopletree model connects assessment output directly to coaching goals and development priorities. Development is not generic - it is specific to each leader's actual profile and role context.
Michael Friedman is based in Houston, has over 30 years of relevant experience, and has worked with senior leaders across healthcare and other complex operating environments.
The pilot model is designed to be repeatable. HR can run a second cohort using the same structure without redesigning the programme or adding internal headcount.
The pilot does not replace Covey or other existing content. It connects those resources to individual development needs - increasing adoption and impact without additional spend.
The pilot is structured to be proportionate to a 100-150 person organisation. The total investment is $5,195 for a fully delivered pilot - including technology, professional support, and a practical roadmap.
The comparison below illustrates the relative investment required to deliver the same core outcomes through the Peopletree pilot versus building the capability in-house.
The Peopletree pilot delivers the core outcomes - assessment, insight, coaching recommendations, and a development roadmap - at a fraction of the cost of building equivalent capability in-house. It also delivers faster: the pilot can be completed in 8-10 weeks, versus 6-12 months to hire and onboard specialist roles.
